Bacon Social House

Bacon makes everything better. Before leaving Denver our family took us to the Bacon Social House for a nice brunch. The Bacon Social House is proof that you can never have too much bacon.

Bacon Social House has a few locations around Denver and we went to the Littleton location just off Alamo Ave and Bernie Street. Parking is limited in that area, but we were able to park inside the parking garage for the apartment complex that the restaurant is attached to.

The interior of the restaurant itself is very colorful and has many murals of well-known events that had pigs added for fun. The mural we could see specifically was the moon landing but with pigs on the surface. We’d also like to point out the coffee cups for the restaurant. They have a “Clark Kent” styled man ripping open his shirt to show a bacon logo (rather than the Superman logo), and it felt very fitting for the place.

To start out we ordered the bacon flight and the baller bacon. The bacon flight came with six different types of bacon: apple wood, BBQ, candied, chilli lime, french toast, and the bacon of the month, which was the everything bagel. We honestly couldn’t pick a favorite between them, and all the variations were great. The baller bacon is super thick and delicious. It claimed to be sweet and spicy, but we didn’t really taste much spiciness. It was still super thick and tasty, but just the spiciness wasn’t quite there like we had expected.

Taylor also got the Country Roads Bloody Mary. It was quite spicy and was topped with bacon, sausage, lemon, salami, and cheese. It was a bit overbearing with all the extras, as a bloody Mary should be, and was a great start to the meal.

For our entrees we picked the Miner’s Breakfast, Biscuits and Gravy, BLTA, and the Bodega Breakfast Sandwich. The Miner’s Breakfast came with pancakes, eggs, bacon, and bacon tots. Everything was very tasty. The Biscuits and Gravy were slightly spicy with a good flavor, the very sausage was good, unfortunately the egg could have been cooked better, and the crispy kale was great. The BLTA was very tasty with a nice bit of avocado and bacon aioli. The Bodega Breakfast Sandwich was a great sandwich with the perfect balance of bread-to-filling ratio.

The tots were particularly tasty since they were regular tots that were then stuffed with bacon and lightly fried to perfection. These little nuggets of deliciousness were included with nearly every meal we ordered.

The food at the Bacon Social House was great, and we’d love to return the next time we’re in Denver. There’s bacon infused within everything, but based on the name you should be expecting that, and the atmosphere as well as the food were fantastic and made for a great brunch experience.
